Laser Surface Treatment

Laser Surface Treatment

Hardening, decoating, depainting, cleaning

In addition to the classical methods of laser cutting and welding, lasers are increasingly used for machining surfaces. Surface processing is a collective term for applications in which laser radiation does not penetrate very deeply into the material.

It is typical for such a surface treatment that not a new part (as in the case of welding or cutting) is produced, but the mechanical properties of an existing component are changed.
